M1 Platoon to open for Blu & Exile at The Pourhouse (Raleigh, NC)
"Kooley Is High" mixtape release party keeping hip-hop pure in the Triangle
RALEIGH, North Carolina- March 30th 2009- Los Angeles based hip-hop artist Blu along with producer/DJ Exile, will headline at The Pourhouse, one of Raleigh's most well-known musical outlets, on April 3rd, 2009 at 9pm.
The event will feature DC-bred rap group M1 Platoon along with Raleigh's own Kooley High, who will be premiering their latest mixtape, "Kooley Is High" Friday night.
Blu recently appeared during several showcases at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, TX. Before performing in Raleigh, music lovers can look to see Blu & Exile at
Club Liv in Washington DC on April 1st. Show starts at 8pm.
Currently, M1 Platoon is working on their newest project "We Not Them pt. III" which is set to release August 28th. Their representation of DC through the mix of the regional go-go sound with hip-hop is infused in one of their most popular songs
"Put It On You Hard" which fans will get a taste of what to expect from the upcoming project.
